LG advises on cash offer by Acorn Global Investments Limited for Dhir India Investments Limited
International business law firm Lawrence Graham (LG) has advised Acorn Global Investments Limited (Acorn) – a newly incorporated British Virgin Island incorporated company – on its successful cash offer for Dhir India Investments plc (DII), an AIM quoted Isle of Man company investing in under-performing assets and companies in India as well as the financing of the offer by way of loan finance.
The offer, which was declared unconditional in January 2012, valued DII at £7 million. LG advised on all corporate, UK tax, finance and regulatory aspects of the transaction.
The LG team advising Acorn included corporate partner Oliver Riley, as well as partners Sunil Kakkad (corporate), Mike Murphy (corporate tax) and Iain Shurwood (banking and finance) as well corporate associate Neeraj Tah.
