IT outsourcing

Having experience in outsourcing of IT is critical to providing valuable and cost-effective advice.  We have many years of advising both customers and leading IT suppliers on structuring IT outsourcing arrangements, the use of both offshore and nearshore delivery centres and, more recently, cloud-based solutions – including the various regulatory challenges associated with the use of such technology.

As outsourcing of IT evolves and becomes a more flexible and collaborative engagement, we understand that you will be looking for your lawyers to advise not only on the contractual and commercial safeguards required to make the arrangement a success, but to also provide the latest thinking on industry models and commercial and pricing arrangements. Our ability to stay on top of the unique and changing aspects of these transactions is at the core of the service we provide.

We have advisors who are experienced in data protection, cloud computing, technology procurement and we have acted for some of the leading IT suppliers in the industry.  We work with our partner firms in India, Europe, the US and across the Asia-Pacific to ensure we can provide a seamless service on even the largest outsourcing transaction.

Business process outsourcing

We have significant experience in advising on Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) transactions, and understand the distinct issues that often apply to such transactions.

Processes that our lawyers have handled are as diverse as:

  • Finance and accounting
  • Call centre
  • Insurance claims processing
  • Procurement and supply chain
  • Training and many more

If structured in a creative way, such transactions often result in driving new revenue, however compliance issues such as data protection laws, can also raise major challenges.

As compliance with a particular legal regime can be critical depending on the nature of the transaction, we frequently work with our network of outsourcing specialists in partner firms in India, Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific to ensure you have a seamless service.

Our services are focused on providing responsive, cost-effective advice which meets the client’s aims and adds value to the transaction.

  • Employment issues including TUPE transfers
  • Planning for termination and exit, and all transitional arrangements
